BIRTHDAYS
Bonjour Grann,
I never liked the attention. Ma mere would say otherwise, Grann. She would say that I at least enjoyed making others laugh when I was younger, but she would also say that I never socialized with strangers as well as K.J.
I always felt like an awkward duck, pushed out on stage, with tap shoes on, and no dance rhythm, but asked to dance.
But Grann, I could always count on you when I was all alone. Life's always been my worse subject, and I don't know why I bother, but for you Grann, my family, and of course, Bijou.
Today's my birthday, and my mother will be baking and wrapping gifts, hoping it's not all for nothing; hoping that I return with tap shoes on, dancing.
